The spiral, a timeless symbol.

In Athens, in 2015, during an “inner journey,” I created the work Essence. I worked on it for months, and the longer and more intensely I worked, the closer I felt to my core.

The outside world faded, leaving only silence and harmony within. In that space, I could feel the essence of simply -being-, of calm and stillness.”

The spiral is often a symbol of growth, development, and progress. Its continuous movement reflects the cyclical nature of life, in which we are constantly evolving and growing. In spiritual contexts, the spiral represents the journey towards the inner self. The pathways of labyrinths, often spiral-like, symbolize the quest for understanding, wisdom, and self-discovery. Entering a labyrinth is seen as a symbolic journey to the center, where insight and enlightenment are found.
